AssaultLight is activated by directly pressing the fail-proof and robust tail-switch rubber button that is soft and raised, well within the reach of the thumb ergonomically. Without the cord, AssaultLight completely eliminates any possibility of cord entanglement while maintaining forward momentum of a tactical operator.

Description
SA2 AssaultLight eliminates the need of any corded remote switches for a direct and positive operation of the light via the tail-cap switch. This is enabled by its seamless integration with a special version of LaRue Tactical Mount. The adjustability of the mount provides unprecedented sturdiness and ensures firm attachment for direct tail-switch activation by the thumb in the offset position. SA2 resolves some of the most common drawbacks of remote corded pressure pad switches. Without the cord, AssaultLight completely eliminates any possibility of cord entanglement when tactical operators navigate quickly through building obstacles or military operatives rapidly transverse through dense woods. SA2 is a powerful incandescent light with 70 lumens of maximal-focused light. The xenon bulb is protected by an anti-scratch tempered glass lens, and is damped against recoil by the internal dual spring-loaded backplate deflection mechanism with a completely isolated battery compartment. As part of the Stealth family, the exterior of the SA2 is coated in our anti-reflective stealth finish that exceeds military type III super hard anodized specification, matching the exterior of most firearms in black. This "stealthy" anti-reflective black exterior finish blends itself in with the firearms that are predominately black. It enhances the overall stealthiness without standing out the light. This exterior is also resistant to abrasion and corrosion, improving its overall robustness. By eliminating the remote cord, SA2 is activated with preconfigured TC3 Momentary Tactical Switch Tail-Cap. The pentagonal shape tail-cap can be twisted to constant-on or positioned for momentary activation by the raised rubber button. Our oversized rubber button is firm for direct momentary activation of the light. The pentagonal shape button also improves tactile feedback. The tail-cap can be reversed to safety lockout position to prevent accidental switch-on. All connections are sealed with double O-rings for fail-safe protection against water leakage. Each SA2 is individually serialized for inventory control. The unit can be easily serviced in the field with an optional Field Service Kit, including the option of replacing the front tempered glass lens if it is damaged during an unexpected frontal impact. The optimum configuration is by mounting SA2 at 3-o'clock or at 9-o'clock position on a rail system with a vertical handgrip. With this setup, the light can be comfortably, directly, and positively activated with the thumb of the handgrip hand. Its ease of activation through forward momentum by the operator, and together with a secured and adjustably-tight mounting system has made the SA2 an excellent rifle-mounted tactical light for operators of SWAT to members of special operations.

As a 6-volt tactical light system, SA2 LED is pre-configured with a genuine 3-watt Luxeon LED primary light that is electronically regulated to sustain maximal brightness at 65 lumens for 90 minutes. There are numerous advantages of LED lights for tactical operation. LED is shockproof against weapon recoil. It has thousands of hours of lifetime which means it will not burned out requiring bulb replacement during the most critical time. The light source is protected by an anti-scratch tempered glass lens and is maximally focused at factory for achieving the greatest distance and center brightness.
